Our annual Elementary Pumpkin Patch will be held on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. This is the day before the Fall Harvest Carnival. The Pumpkin Patch will be for the Elementary grades of 3 year olds to the 4th grade. A schedule of the times will be provided later.
We had a trailer set up for story reading last year, a cup cake decorating booth a picture back ground and of course the pumpkin patch.
This year we are planning on having the same activities. The story book reading hay ride trailer was stationary last year. This year we are planning on havng the trailer hooked up to the tractor for an actual hay ride for the story book readng.
We will use High School students as workers again this year. These students will be chosen from either the AG or the FACS program and are required to wear a scare crow costume. All volunteer student workers must be approved by the administration.
We will give all of the Elementary students the option of bringing their decorated pumpkin to the Fall Carnival for a Pumpkin judging contest. We will do a first, second, and third place ribbon for the top 3 winning decorated pumpkins for each grade level from the 3 year old class to 4th grade.
If any of you know anyone we can borrow square bales of hay or straw from for marking off the areas of the pumpkin patch, and also for the story book reading hay ride, please let me know so we can start getting things together for it.
We will also order extra pumpkins for the staff and High School student worker. If you have any questions, please feel free to come by and see me, text, or call.
