Youth suicide in our state is a major public health problem. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for young people in Oklahoma. This website offers helpful resources on ways to prevent suicide in your school and community.

Free Kognito Suicide Prevention Training

This online training uses virtual role-play simulations to prepare educators and school staff to recognize signs of distress, approach a student to address concerns, and, if necessary, refer the parent/student to appropriate resources. This is a free service provided by ODMHSAS. Training is available for ES, MS, and HS.
