About Me

Educational History:

I graduated from Davis High School in Davis, Oklahoma in 1983. I attended school at Davis from K-12.

Degrees and Certifications:

I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education in 1988 from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma.

Current Position:

I am starting my twenty-seventh year of teaching at Bray-Doyle. While at Bray, I have taught Fourth Grade for two years and Fifth Grade for eighteen years.  Beginning with the 2014-2015 school year, I began teaching Middle School (5th, 6th, 7th Grade) Language Arts.  This year, I will be teaching 6th and 7th Grade Reading and Language Arts.

Previous Position:

Prior to coming to Bray in 1994, I taught in the Oklahoma City Public Schools system for four years. I taught Fifth Grade for three years, and my last year was spent teaching Third Grade. I enjoyed my time and valuable learning experiences I gained while there; however, I love the advantages of working in a much smaller school system like Bray-Doyle. It  feels like home, and I am super PROUD to be here!!!!

Family Information:

I live in Duncan with my husband Jack.  We have been married since May, 1994.

Personal Information:

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.  I LOVE to shop!!! (My husband, I am sure would say too much.)  Jack and I like to travel and look for antiques.  We enjoy watching and attending (as much as we can)  TEXAS RANGERS and OKC THUNDER games together.  However, when it comes to OU/OSU, we are definitely a house divided.  GO POKES!!!!!!

*****However, because of the restrictions and risks due to COVID-19, AMAZON (and perhaps a few other online shopping sites LOL), has become my shopping go-to. Of course, attending Rangers and Thunder games are on hold for now. It is very different to watch these games on television without the fans in the stands, but this too, will take time to return to a new normal.
