The scholarship search process is student-driven. It is the responsibility of the student and parent to identify and apply for relevant scholarships. To assist families, I have provided links and websites below. Don’t forget to check the website of each individual college or university that you are considering for information about specific scholarships offered by that school.

GlobalAir.com is passionate about supporting the future of aviation. That is why they are giving away four $1,000 scholarships to students who are dedicated to blogging on a weekly basis about flight training, flying, school and their interest in aviation. By partnering with students in university aviation programs, they hope to provide a platform for students to share their experiences while training for a successful career in aviation. Applicants must be U.S. citizens currently enrolling in a fully accredited university aviation program within the United States.

What: University Space Research Association Scholarships

The University Space Research Association (USRA) is offering four $5,000 scholarships to students who are interested in science and engineering. The USRA Scholarship Awards provide college scholarships to students who have shown a career interest in science or engineering with an emphasis on space research or space science education, and aeronautics-related sciences. To apply students must be within two years of earning a B.S. or B.A. in a field of science and engineering.

Award Amount: 4 awards, $5,000 each

DDSRank understands the value of investing in the future of dentistry. That is why they would like to award one aspiring dental student $500 towards the cost of tuition or books for their 2018 fall semester. Students who are studying to be a dentist or a dental hygienist should apply by submitting an 800-word essay about the following topic:

What: Vitality Medical’s Student Disability Scholarship Program

Vitality Medical’s Student Disability Scholarship Program is designed to encourage and support outstanding students who work hard and want to make a significant impact in their school and community. Students do not have to be disabled in order to apply or win the scholarship. They can simply apply by submitting a visual poem on the theme of “how using disability aids has added vitality to your life”. Students must also submit a personal statement with their poem.

Award Amount: 2 awards, $500 each

What: YourWorkoutBook Scholarship

The annual YourWorkoutBook Scholarship is offered to students enrolling or enrolled at a university or college in the United States. Eligible students should demonstrate an interest in physical health and sports either through their organizational activities in school or through the studies they are pursing. To apply, submit an essay that explains your career goals, your extracurricular activities as they relate to sports, and your desire to influence others as a result of your education.

Award Amount: $500
